Caveat Lector
By Samuel Thomas Nichols, Inland Empire Branch
Be wary of the words that I’ve written
For meaning lies between the syllables
Where truth trumps the falsehoods lying smitten
Upon the smoky plains of parables
Many are the meanings obscured by words
Hidden by the alphabets of treason
That with their letters the future is blurred
With no more rhyme or reason to season
The memorandums of uncertainty
Cast aspersions on mediocrity
Brings light to bear on darkness and debris
Illuminating my hypocrisy
Search for reason between the written lines
Where you may uncover the hidden signs.
