You Know You’ve Been in the Desert Too Long
By Ann Miner, High Desert Branch
You know you’ve been in the desert too long when:
- The temperature drops to 75 degrees, and you grab a blanket.
- You start to build a cricket feeder in your front yard.
- The temperature drops to 100 degrees and you’re thankful for a cool day.
- You stay up all night because your pet black widow spider is sick.
- You plant flowers to see how long it will take them to die.
- You complain when the humidity gets up to 25%.
